Cultural Hat and Sweater of Hunza Valley


                                    
This is my picture in Hunza traditional costume. People of Hunza wear this hat in Hunza Valley specially during winter season. This hat is made up of sheep  wool.Brown one is sweater made up of sheep wool too.

Cellular networks activate in Gilgit Baltistan


Due to critical situation in Gilgit Baltistan the government jammed all cellular networks. After twenty-six days all cellular networks reactivate on last Saturday evening.

Water level in Attabad lake starting to increase:-


The water level in Attabad Lake is again starting to increase due to melting of glaciers therefore FWO blocked spillway again and start excavating for decreasing the level of spillway. After excavation the FWO will blast the block and the water will be reduce from Attabad Lake.

Grammatical Structure of Brushaski Language is

  • Subject              Object                Verb
The grammatical structure of Brushaski Language is different from English Language. In Brushaski Language Object Comes after Subject while Verb comes after Object.

There are three accents of Brushaski Language
  • Hunza Accent 
  • Nagari Accent
  • Yasini Accent
There are slightly difference among three accents. All written material is in Hunzai Accent. Allama Naseer Naseer Uddain Hunzai has great contribution for Brushaski Language. He modified Urdu alphabets to Brushaski and also worked on grammar of Brushaski.

Traditional food of Hunza :-


Hunza valley has a unique tradition and culture .In Hunza there are many traditional foods the name of foods are in local language call Burshaski some food name are Sharbat, diram-fete, davdo, muleda, and so many foods thay use pure Butter  in these dishes most of them are oily food because they work hardly in their fields, but now people of hunza prepare only on occasion as these foods are expensive .

Learn Brushaski

I will going to start writing on Brushaski Language from April 26, 2012. It will helpful for foreigners who want to visit Gilgit-Baltistan particularly Hunza Valley.

Languages in Gilgit-Baltistan

There are seven languages and dialects in Gilgit-Baltistan which are Brushaski, Shina, Balti, Wakhi, Khuwar, Domaki and Gujri.


  • Brushaski is speaking  in Hunza Valley, Nagar Valley ,Yasin Valley and also   20 percent of population in Gilgit City.
  • Shina is speaking in Lower Hunza  , Gilgit City, Ghizer, Astore and in Diamer.
  • Balti is speaking in Baltistan( Skardu, Khapulu and Shigar).
  • Wakhi is speaking in Upper Hunza.
  • Khuwar is speaking in Phundar in District Ghizer.
  • Domaki is speaking at Mominabad a small town among Karimabad, Altit and Ghanish in Hunza Valley.
  • Gugri is speaking in Gilgit City and in Naltar Valley. Speakers are a few.

Tourist starting to visit Hunza.


The situation in Gilgit Baltistan become normal and Tourist starting to visit Hunza. Two groups of French tourists are in Hunza. Today one group of three Members start trekking from hisper Nagar to Skardu by enjoy walking on white glacier  and the other six members are enjoying spring season in Karimabad Hunza valley.

11th July at Hunza:


11th July is Imamat day in Ismailis Muslim community there for this day is celebrate with great enthusiasm and spiritual. To celebrate this magnetic event thousands of Ismailis return to their homes from across Pakistan and all around the world.
In Hunza mostly Ismailis community is leaving there for this event is also celebrated in Hunza. On this occasion the night at Hunza gives different view because all houses and mountains are decorated by lightening many foreign and local tourist  Visit to Karimabad Das (grave yard) to view the charming and amazing lightening on mountains and Homes which shows unbelievable and enjoyable views to the tourists and local people.
 In the next day  musical program is arranged in Karimabad old polo ground  where people perform cultural events e.g. cultural dance, sword dance  etc. in this program special people of Hunza also participate and present different items. The management welcome all tourists in this program and give special cultural tunes for dance every one can enjoy this event too much.

The situation in Gilgit-Baltistan is getting normal, after few days it will be complete recover tranquility and amicable atmosphere. Most of the Domestic and International tourists visit Gilgit-Baltistan  in April to September to enjoy Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each and Every season in Gilgit-Baltistan has its own unique color.
Blossom in Hunza Valley is about to finish . Foreigners visit to see beautiful blossom.

Security on the Karakorum Highway


The GB cabinet has decided to deploy a specially composed “force”, on Karakorum Highway, comprising of 400 men taken Police, Rangers, Commandos and GB Scouts. This force will patrol different portions of the KKH in Kohistan, Diamer and Gilgit. The force will be headed by an officer of the rank of Army Major.

Takht-i-Bahi is the one of the famous Buthist Monastic Complex in pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1980.

Situation in Gilgit-Baltistan is normalize

Situation in Gilgit-Baltistan is recovered after 20 days of curfew in Gilgit city. Schools, Colleges and Karakorum International University has opened today morning. How ever Police and Army are alert in main Gilgit city and its vicinity.

Attabad Lake


Attabad Lake, also known as Hunza Lake is a lake in the Hunza Valley of northern Pakistan created in January 2010 by a  landslide
The lake was formed due to a massive landslide at Attabad village in Gilgit-Baltistan, 9 miles (14 km) upstream (east) of Karimabad that occurred on January 4, 2010.
